Mangalore: Mangalore Police Commissioner Manish Kharbikar has informed that four persons have been arrested in connection with the murder of Prashanth alias Pachu, the manager of Sri Adhinatheshwara Roadlines near Mangala Bar in Valencia on April 7, Sunday. All the four were also produced before media men.
Informing this to media men, the Commissioner said the four have divulged during interrogations that they killed Prashanth to avenge the murder of Bejai Raja at Falnir on December 1, 2012.
The Commissioner said the arrested are Bhavanishanker , a resident of Tandolige Kottyappagudde in Jeppinamogaru, Praveen alias Munna of Goltamajalu, Naveen Shetty alias Pili Naveena of Akashbhavan and Bhavish alias Munna of Kasargod. They were arrested from a house near Kumble and the police have recovered a pistol, four swords and a Qualis car from them, the Commissioner said.
On the pre-poll security arrangements, the Commissioner said there are a total of 782 polling booths in the Commissionerate limits and that of them 63 are sensitive and 135 hyper sensitive booths.The police department, he said has summoned 300 rowdies to the stations and have made them sign bonds. He said a total of 456 rowdies have been identified.
Mutturaya, DySP, Law and Order and Dharmaiah, DCP(Crime) were also present.
