Udupi: Vishwa Hindu Parishat (VHP) President Pravin Togadia has accused the controversial televangelist  Benny Hinn of crafting conversions of people from other community as against the principles of  the Indian constitution.

Speaking to press persons after meeting Pejawar Seer Sri Vishwesha Theertha Swamiji here on January 8, Wednesday   Togadia  urged that the government  not to entertain such tactics by Benny Hinn and has requested it not to allow him enter the State itself. He said the VHP does not like such activities by Benny Hinn in a democratic nation like India.

Referring to the  Muzaffarnagar violence, Togadia blamed the Muslims for the same and  claimed that the inquiry commissions set up by different state and central governments have mentioned about  the involvement of Muslims in Muzaffarnagar and Godhra killings.

Pejawar Swamiji who too agreed with Togadia, accused the government  of trying to  confuse the people by  trying to implement the anti-Superstitions Bill on the one hand and on the other hand welcome Benny Hinn.

It is learnt, the meeting between Togadia and the Pejawar seer earlier at the Mutt delved on various issues  regarding to Hindu community and focused on topics such as  cow slaughter,  the   need to set up ‘Goshalas’ in the district and also to sensitize the community.
