Tibetan Spiritual Guru Dalai Lama arrives in Mangaluru

Mangaluru: Tibetan spiritual leader Dalai Lama arrived at the Mangaluru International Airport (MIA)  on Thursday, August 29 at around 12.30 pm.

Mangaluru Assistant Commissioner Ravichandra Nayak, DCPs Arunamshu Giri ( Law and Order), Lakshmi Ganesh (Crime and Traffic) welcomed the spiritual leader on behalf of district administration. He was also welcomed through a traditional Tibetan dance form, outside the airport.

Security was beefed up at the MIA as well as the city. Zero traffic arrangement was made while he pass through the city to reach the hotel where he will be staying. Dalai Lama will be in city for another two days and he will be attending a national conference of All India Catholic School Federation, scheduled at the auditorium of Fr Muller Institutions. He will be leaving to Bengaluru on August 31.
