Moodbidri: The Nudisiri-Virasat, the Alva’s Education Foundation’s popular literary and cultural programme, has been postponed due to the recent floods in the state according to a press statement released by Foundation president M Mohan Alva.

Now, the events will be held in 2020, however, a date has not yet been set.

It can be recalled that the Foundation had decided to celebrate both the Nudisiri and Virasat events together from this year onwards.

The event was initially scheduled to be held from November 15 to 17, however, seeing the plight of the flood-affected in the state, the Foundation decided against holding the programme. They felt that the programme would not have any meaning if it were held in this situation.

The Foundation has also offered financial assistance to those who have been adversely affected by the floods, Alva added in the press release.
