Mangaluru: In a head-on collision between an ambulance and a car, three people were killed on the spot, and one person suffered injuries. The accident occurred near Manjeshwar on National Highway on Tuesday morning.
The deceased have been identified as Shrinath and Sharath Menon from Thrissur. In the accident, the patient who was being transported to the hospital suffered injuries. Sources said that the patient was being shifted to Mangaluru from Kasargod in the ambulance, while the car was traveling to Manjeshwar from Mangaluru. Two passengers died on the spot, and one succumbed to the injuries in the hospital.
Dead Body Found
Bantwal: A man’s dead body was found in the premises of a marriage hall in the town. The dead body was found in Bant’s Bhavan in Talapady lying in a pool of blood. The deceased has been identified as Santosh, a resident of Valalu in Uppingady.
The police also found a bike parked outside the marriage hall. The police are investigating the case and have yet to ascertain the cause of death. Bantwal police have registered the case, and the investigation is ongoing.
