Kundapur: A lorry owner who allegedly robbed cash and diesel was arrested by the police on Wednesday January 15. The police have seized the plunders.



The arrested has been identified as Anilappa. Three other accused have managed to flee.According to the sources, Anilappa owns a lorry which is registered from Maharashtra
It is learnt that locals Suresh Gowda, Rajendra and Kumar had brought fish in their three Lorries from Goa to Beejady fish mill, unloaded it and parked their vehicles at Beejady and were taking rest. Four including Anilappa approached the trio with a knife and allegedly snatched Rs, 11000 and tried to pilfer fuel from the diesel tank. They also tore the clothes of the driver. The accused fled the scene when other drivers rushed in.
As locals informed the police, the accused fled in their vehicles. However, Anilappa’s vehicle hit a tree and came to a halt. He was later arrested.
