Moodbidri: In a incident reported from Moodbidri thieves have burgled Amma Basadi near Jainpete here on October 6.

The incident came to light on Tuesday morning, when it was discovered that silver aarti and cash from offering box has been stolen.

Police arrived at the spot and are investigating the matter.

Valuables worth 50,000 along with cash has been stolen. The thieves entered the basadi breaking the iron door at the entrance.

The archakas informed police about the theft. Panambur ACP Ravi Kumar, Moodbidri Police inspector Anantha Padmanabha, SI Ramesh Kumar along with dog squad and finger print experts came to the spot to take the investigation forward.
