Mangalore :  More evidences are coming forth to prove Mangalore’s deadly terror links.  The arrest of Ayesha Banu and her husband Jubair from Panjimogaru has also brought to light several facts.

Police sources said the two were arrested on November 11, Monday night and that they will be  handed over to the custody of the Bihar police after producing them before  the court on November 13, Wednesday.

Police who have visited the Ayesha Banu residence at Manjotti in Panjimogaru have seized  the passbook, ATM card and other things found in the house. During interrogations of Jubair at Panambur police station, he is learnt to have admitted that he was receiving calls from Pakistan.

They posed as decent citizens : Both Ayesha Banu and her husband Jubair had posed as decent citizens in the area.  If Ayesha Banu stayed at the Manjotti residence with her three children, Jubail was at Bajpe with his another wife. He was running  beedi branches at Bajpe and yet another place. Locals say they never had any doubt the couple might have involved in such activities.

Until November 11, Monday  night, all  family members were present at Ayesha Banu and Jubair residence.  But as soon as  news flashed in TV regarding the arrests, all have gone underground. Even Jubair’s residence at Bajpe is locked.
