Ullal: As expected tension has gripped Ullal, following death of Safwan, a 22-year-old fruit vendor, who succumbed to injuries due to attack by miscreants. Meanwhile, since the dead body of Safwan is to arrive at a local Dargah for the burial rituals, police are finding it difficult to control the crowd, despite the prohibitory orders in place.

Security has been stepped up in the region and police are seen checking almost every vehicle plying on the Highway.

Safwan was attacked on April 26 and due to the attack he had suffered severe injuries of hands, legs and waist.

He succumbed to injuries on Saturday.
