Mangaluru: St Aloysius College (Autonomous), Mangaluru has launched a new course in M.Sc Big Data Analytics in collaboration and Support of Tata Consultancy Services (TCS)  from the Academic year 2019 and a Memorandum Of Understanding (MOU) was signed by both the institutions on Tuesday, May 7.

 As per the memorandum, the country’s No.1 IT and IT Services Company TCS has partnered with St Aloysius College in designing the curriculum and it will also train the faculty of the school of IT through its innovative trainer Programme.

Vice President in HR and Head of Organizational Effectiveness in TCS, Rajiv Noronha,  informed that innovation, collaboration with different institutions and entrepreneurial mindset is the secret for the success of an industry.

“As both Aloysius institution and TCS signed MOU now, investments from both sides are required for the success.  Students should invest their time and hard work and TCS would train them properly”, he said.

Registrar of St Aloysius College Dr. A M  Narahari said, “ TCS has a legacy in innovating various solutions to the problems from banking, healthcare, manufacturing, retail, and analytics linked to these fields.  Tata has always been known for its values that it never compromises with.  The students of St Aloysius College are very lucky to have this opportunity. If students put in hard work,  there is an opportunity to work in the country’s No 1 IT and IT Services Company”.

Fr Denzil Lobo, Director of St Aloysius Institution of Management and Information Technology (AIMIT) presiding over the programme said, “the rich experience of TCS will certainly add value to the faculty and students’ of this course. The Academia interface programme with TCS will also help understand the Tata’s values and critical thinking applied in solving problems beyond technology. Hard work is a tool for success. Without hard work, one cannot achieve anything in life. Hence, utilise this opportunity to bloom in your life”.
