Kasargod:  A woman who appeared to be in her 20s was found hanging by a rope at her residence near Mogral Higher Secondary School here on Sunday May 25.

The deceased has been identified as 23-year-old Rafida, wife of Abdul Rahman. Rafida who was the daughter of Anwar, a resident of Mogral Koppal, was married two years ago. Rafida’s brother Rahim was scheduled to get married on June 1. Her relatives now suspect a foul play behind her death.

It is learnt that on Sunday evening though  Rafida’s husband had asked her to accompany him to the market, she denied and stayed in the room. Even after his return, she did not come out of the room making Rahman suspicious. He peeped through the window and found her hanging.

Rahida’s relatives who rushed to the place, created a chaos by barging into the house and going on rampage. The body was taken to Pariyaram Medical College for post-mortem.
