Suratkal murder case: three arrested

Mangalore: The police have arrested three persons in the case of the murder of  a man who was accused in a murder case. The man was butchered in broad daylight at Suratkal on Tuesday February 4.

The Police have not disclosed the identity of the accused so far. The fourth accused is yet to be arrested. Reportedly, the murder which is said to be as an act of a gang enmity had four persons involved in the killing Prakash who was travelling back to Udupi along with his father after signing the register at Panambur police station with reference to the 2012 Shivaraj murder case.

Four persons stopped the bus near NITK, Suratkal then pulled him out of the bus and killed him  in front of the public. The accused later fled from the scene.However the police identified the main accused within hours of the murder as well as recovered the bike used by the accused for the murder.

Prakash was main accused in the case of  murder of Shivaraj at Kodikere in July 2012. He had escaped at least three bids on his life. An attempt was made on his life even in the court premises, but he had managed to escape.
