Mangalore: The police who had arrested three persons in the case of the murder of a man at Suratkal on Thursday February 6, but had not revealed their identities, have now disclosed the same. Prakash, an accused in Kodikere Shivaraj murder case was butchered in broad daylight at Suratkal on Tuesday February 4.

The arrested are 42-year -old Raghunath, a native of Kulshekar in the city and presently staying at MSEZ Colony in Kodikere, 24-year-old Sharan alias Tea Sharan from Kodikere, and a juvenile. The fourth accused is yet to be arrested. According to some reports three had surrendered before the police.
Reportedly, the murder which is said to be as an act of a gang enmity had four persons involved in the killing of Prakash who was travelling back to Udupi along with his father after signing the register at Panambur police station with reference to the 2012 Shivaraj murder case.
Four persons stopped the bus near NITK, Suratkal then pulled him out of the bus and killed him in front of the public. The accused later fled from the scene.However the police identified the main accused within hours of the murder as well as recovered the bike used by the accused for the murder.
Prakash was main accused in the case of murder of Shivaraj which was reported from Kodikere in July 2012.
