Newskarnataka – Udupi
Udupi: There has been a sudden rise noticed in the water levels at Parkala and the Battuttide Lake as well as in the surrounding streams and other water reservoirs in the past couple of day.

The streams in Kelaparkala had dried up, but over last week or so, water has began to appear again and the level has steadily increased.
The water level which usually dry up during summer are a real concern for the residents as well as the Udupi administration however the fresh swell in the river and the water sources has filled up the irrigation canals, bringing joy to the resident especially the farmers of the region.
For a layman the instance is no less than a miracle, although geologists believe that water appears on the surface of earth in when a layer of the soil is disposed. These are likely signs of a forthcoming earthquake.
