Bantwal: The Bantwal Town police station wore a jubilant look. Unlike the routine work of police, on Wednesday the station echoed voices of young children.
As against the usual scenes of how kids would get scared by the Men in Khaki, on Wednesday the children stood next to the policemen and learnt how they work.

The children asked questions to the cops and the cops answered them patiently.

These were the scenes during a ‘meet and greet’ the cops, an event organised Bantwal Taluk Working Journalists’ Association, Press Club and Pathrakartha Sangha.

A total of 52 students from 23 schools took part in the event that was held as part of an ongoing summer camp.

Sub Inspector Nanda Kumar gave out details to students and also accepted questions and queries from them.

The students were informed about equipment in the station, the jail, wireless system, guns etc.

Traffic Police Sub Inspector Chandrashekaraiah spoke about the traffic police and their work.

Bantwal Rural Sub Inspector Rakshith AK, Journalists Maunesh Vishwakarma, Harish Mambady, Sandip Salian, Kishore Peraje among others were present.
