Mangaluru: Bantwal Rural police arrested four persons in connection with hurting the religious sentiments of Hindus by stepping on Lord Shiva’s idol while making a TikTok video.

The arrested have been identified as Masood (20), Azeem (20), Abdul Latheef (20), and Arfaz (20), all are the residents of Sajipanadu. Sources from Bantwal police informed that the accused trespassed into Hindu burial ground at Kanchinadka Padavu and made a TikTok video by stepping on Lord Shiva’s idol wearing footwear. As it was posted on social media, it went viral and the public demanded stringent action against the culprits

A case was also registered by Rudra Bhoomi Committee president Yashavanth Deraje at Bantwal Rural police station in this regard. Followed by the complaint, all the four accused were arrested and they would be produced before the court, sources informed.
