Mangaluru: A team of Bajrang Dal activists waylaid an illegal cattle transporting vehicle and rescued four buffaloes at Kottara Chowki on the wee hours of Sunday, June 14.

According to police sources, a mini truck was carrying four buffaloes from Udupi to Mangaluru in the wee hours of Sunday. Based on a credible tip-off, a team of Bajrang Dal activists waylaid that mini truck, in which the buffaloes were being transported illegally. The team rescued the buffaloes and handed over the person transporting them to Urwa police.

A case has been registered at Urwa police station in this regard.
