State Govt to appoint private doctors in PHC

Mangalore :State Health Minister U T Khader said that private doctors will be appointed in the primary health centres based on requirement, and they will be paid accordingly.

He also said that doctors will be appointed on contract basis till the vacancies are filled on the basis of regular recruitment.

In government hospitals there is shortage of applicants for the post of doctors because of lack of privilages.

Further he said that permanent doctors for all government hospitals all over the state will be appointed soon. There is also an proposal to provide compensationof Rs 5 lakh to the family of endosulfan victims in DK district.

The move comes in the wake of lack of MBBS applicants for government posts.
