Mangalore : St Joseph College at Jeppu in Mangalore celebrated its College Day on February 1, Saturday.

Rev. Fr Wilson L V D’Souza, Secretary of Mangalore Catholic Education Board, who presided over the function,  stressed the need to encourage  the latent  talent in each student.  Proper guidance and encouragement will go a long way in  helping the students blossom their talents and achieve big in life like the former president APJ Abdul Kalam, Fr D’Souza said.

He also emphasised the need for value based education in schools. The annual magazine of the school was released on the occasion, Meritorious and outstanding students were also honoured.

Dr P  Pakirappa of Mangalore University, Rev. Fr Wilfred Prakash D’Souza, Principal of St Joseph College, Rev. Fr Onil D’Souza ,Prashanth Rasquinha, Director Property Deal Company and others were present.

Students presented attractive cultural programmes.
