Mangalore: SSLC exams have commenced across the state on April 1. There are a total of 3003 examination centres in the state. Of these 250 have been identified as sensitive centres and 115 as hyper sensitive.
A total of 8,49,629 candidates including 4,53,958 boys and 3,95,741 girls are appearing for the exams this time. The Karnataka High School Education Examination Board has made all necessary arrangements for the smooth conduct of the exams.
Ban orders have been enforced in a radius of 200 meters from the examination centre. People standing in groups or private functions are prohibited in the area where the ban orders are in force. Vigilance squads have also pressed into service to check malpractices.
