Mangalore, Mar 20: Srinivas School of Engineering (SSE), Mukka is a unit of Srinivas Group of Colleges sponsored by A. Shama Rao Foundation Mangalore.
This year SSE will be organising World Water Day on March 22, Kalaspandana on March 23 and national level technical and cultural fest tech yuva-14 on March 24 and 25.
In order to focus the problems related to fresh water, and also to create awareness among the youth, the department of civil engineering at Srinivas School of Engineering will be organising World Water Day on Saturday, March 22, 2014.
In this regard, technical seminars have been arranged on this day by eminent speakers. The department of civil engineering aims to educate the student’s community on the water issues, as a means of focusing attention on the importance of freshwater and advocating for the sustainable management of water resources.
CA A. Raghavendra Rao, President, A. Shama Rao Foundation will preside over the function. Er. Sri Ranganath Aithal-President, Association of Consulting Civil Engineers, of the city will be the Chief guest of the function.
A. Srinivas Rao-Vice President, A. Shama Rao Foundation and Dr. Subhash C Yaragal, professor, department of civil engineer, NITK Surathkal will be the guests of honour.
Various competitions including collage, poster making, quiz, etc. related to water issue will be conducted for the engineering students of the college. After the inaugural function, Dr. Subhash C Yaragal will be delivering a guest lecture on “Coping with Water Scarcity”.
Kalaspandana, cultural event is organised on Sunday, March 23 for the engineering and management students at our campus. This will include a number of varieties of cultural activities and competitions for the students. CA A. Raghavendra Rao, President, A. Shama Rao Foundation will preside over the function.
Sri P Jayaram Bhat, MD & CEO, Karnataka Bank Ltd. will be the Chief Guest of the function. A. Srinivas Rao-Vice President, Mitra S Rao-Secretary, Vijayalakshmi R. Rao-Director, Srinivas Group of Colleges will be the Guests of Honour of the day.
This year tech yuva will be held for two days and E S Chakravarthy, Center Head, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), Bengaluru will be the chief guest.
