Mangalore: A first year interior design student of Sri Devi college accidentally fell from a moving train and died, while returning home from college.

Ahmed Shabeeb (20), son of K A Mohammed Shareef Walibal, residents of Shifa land.

The incident took place on Wednesday when Shabeeb and his friends were travelling back home. It is learnt that he had told his friends that he would go and wash his face when it reached Uppala station. Friends began searching for him as he did not return. Later a passenger informed them that he had seen one passenger falling from the train.

Soon police and fire force were informed and started searching for him. 300 locals along with police searched in Kumble, Shiriya, Muttam and Peruvad but in vain. However his body was found on Thursday morning after a fisherman noticed it in the bush.

The body has been taken for post mortem at the Kasargod general hospital. Police found multiple injuries in his body it is learnt.

He is survived by his parents and siblings Shaheem, Suraipa, Saleena, Shahas and Shasim.
