Mangalore : S R Bansal, Chairman and Managing Director of Corporation Bank inaugurated its ’24X 7 e- lobby’ at the Corporate Office premises of the Bank at  Pandeswhar Mangalore on Thursday July 17.This is the first e- lobby opened in Mangalore city by the Bank. The e- lobby is located at a vantage point in the corporate office of the Bank opposite the  Forum Mall.

15 branches across India have e lobbies. 7 are located at Delhi and 8 in Bangalore.

TheMangalore branch e-lobby is provided with self-service automation kiosks like cash deposit machine, cheque deposit machine, self-service passbook printers etc. The e-lobby has been specially designed for customers for quick service with ease and convenience.

At the inaugural S R Bansal said that the user / customer will be king as he / she can operate the entire gamut of banking operations  by himself or herself 24  7 without the human interface which has several limitations.

Replying to a question from Newskarnataka Mr. Bansal said that in case the customer faces problems at any of the automated operations, the trained security guard will assist during non working hours while bank staff are always available during working hours.

Regarding the cheque clearance, he said, the process will remain unchanged. However, the depositor will be given a photocopy with receipt during the transaction.
