Bantwal : A speeding KSRTC bus which went out of control of the driver, knocked down a stationed autorickshaw and almost crushed it  near the Mittabailu Masjid near BC Road on Thursday May 29. Luckily, there were no casualties and the autorickshaw driver Mohammad Ashraf was away when the mishap took place.

The bus was on way to Puttur from BC Road when the mishap took place. The recklessness of the driver is blamed for the accident. The bus was proceeding at such a great speed that it swerved to the road side and virtually stood on top of the autorickshaw. Hundreds gathered at the spot of the mishap.

The Bantwal Police rushed to the spot and ensured things remained under control.
