Udupi: A car accident claimed the life of two persons and injured two others at Muloor near  Kaup on Thursday April 3.

As per the police sources the car was on an high speed and overturned while taking a turn, killing two persons on the spot.

The deceased have been identified as Donald Kunder and Doris Kunder, who are residents of Shakthi Nagar in Mangalore. The injured have been identified as Shanta Karkada and Dayakar Karkada.

It is said that they were travelling by Maruti 800 car from Mangalore to Udupi to distribute invitation cards for Dayakar Karkada’s daughter’s wedding.

Kaup police CI Sunil Naik, Padubidri inspector Rakshith and other police personnel visited the spot. A case has been registered in Kaup police station.

Udupi District in-charge Minister and State Urban Development Minister Vinay Kumar Sorake also visited the accident spot.
