Sowjanya case:Komu Sowharda Vedike urges for the CBI Probe

Mangalore:Karnataka Komu Sauharda Vedike has urged the government to hand over Sowjanya Rape and murder case to the CBI probe.

Addressing the press meet in the Hotel Woodlands the state secretary of the Vedike KL Ashok has said that there is a need for impartial and transparent probe into the case. The govt. should not bow for any pressure and hand over the case to the CBI to bring out the truth. The Dharmadhikari Veerendra Hegde should answer all the queries of people and the parents of Sowjanya.

“There are also allegations on illegal encroachment of land meant for Dalits. The government should also probe into the allegation and reclaim the land if it was encroached. Cheif minister Siddharmaiah who came to power in the name of Ahinda and Backward classes should come to the rescue of the poor.”

PUCL state president PB D’sa, Komu Sowharda Vedike district president Suresh Bhat and other office bearers of the vedike were present at the occasion.
