Kasaragod: An young school boy died after a snake bite, on the outskirts of the town near Chowki, when he was on his way back home after evening prayers on Sunday.

Mohammad Falahuddin, aged 15, tenth student of Peradala Navajeevan school is the deceased.

He was bitten by a poisonous snake while returning after prayers from Harijal Masjid. Though, he was rushed to the hospital in Kasaragod immediately he failed to recover.

The school remained closed on Monday on account of his death.
