Mangaluru: IAS officer Sindhu B Roopesh has been appointed as the new Deputy Commissioner of the Dakshina Kannada district.

Sindhu, an IAS officer of the 2011 batch, has been serving as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Udupi district.

As S Sasikanth Senthil tendered his resignation citing various reasons on Friday, the Government of Karnataka has appointed Sindhu to take his place.
