Kasargod: A daily wage labourer turned lucky as he won a Kerala state Pournami lottery valued at 65 lakhs in a recent draw when fortune favoured him.

Ashok, (40), resident of Mahippady near Kumble Seetahamgoli is the lucky winner. A family of three with one daughter had no dwelling of their own and in distress times, lottery has given the family a huge relief.

Ashok once a fancy store owner gave up business when he incurred losses. Later he used to work as a labourer to eke a living.

He plans to construct a house with the lottery amount in the near future. The lucky winner purchased the winning ticket during his visit to Kasragod few days ago.
