Mangaluru: Sharada College team snatched away first prize in the III Enigma Inter-College Quiz competition which was held at City Centre Mall on Saturday, September 3.
The team comprising of Sharada College students Chirag, Subhash Praveen and Sidharth maintained an impressive lead right from the beginning of the competition and comfortable walked away with the trophy with a remarkable 630 points.
The second place was bagged by the team from Vijaya College, which bagged 470 points. Vijay College students Gagandeep Bekal, Afzad Mohammed and Niranjan Kamath did face initial glitches, but managed to pick themselves up and race to the second position, especially with great performance in the last round.
A very confident team of St Aloysius College had to remain satisfied in the third position with 395 points.
Meanwhile St Joseph’s College Vamanjur bagged 300 points and stood in fourth position while Padua College and vikas College, which managed to qualify for the finals put up poor show by bagging mere 135 and 60 points respectively.
Speaking to NewsKarnataka.com, winning team members said that it was a remarkable feeling to clinch away the trophy.
“We are on cloud 9 simply because we have brought laurels to our institution,” said Chirag from Sharada College.
The prizes were distributed to the winners by Chief Guest Vikas College Director Dr. Ananth Prabhu, Namma TV Director Dr. Shivsharan in presence of City Centre Mall representative Rachan and Waseem from Mangalore Meri Jaan.
