Mangalore :  The case of alleged sexual harassment of a six year old girl by a Madarasa teacher of Boliyar in the outskirts of Mangalore, has taken a new twist. MS Yusuf, General Secretary of the Boliyar Jamaat has described the allegation as  a systematic conspiracy.

Speaking to reporters here on August 28, Wednesday, he said   the sexual harassment charges was a story spun by some people who could not have their way and change the  Madarasa syllabus which is  in favour of the EK Faction.

Yusuf said the accused  teacher has been serving the Madarasa since the past one year and that everyone had a good opinion regarding him. He also said that the teacher  could not have committed such an act. Alongside there is no scope for sexual harassment anywhere near the Masjid. This  is a clear cut case of conspiracy, he said and  questioned why an incident that took place three months ago is now brought to light.

It was evident at the press meet that the masjid management was trying to shield the accused head teacher of the Madarasa Abdul Khader Yamani. There was no way that he could have committed such an act, it argued. When asked about the sexual harassment case registered against Yamani in Manjeshwar station, the management tried to evade a reply saying it was unaware of the same. Moreover, it also said that it had no  interest in the case said to have taken place in Manjeshwar.

As per sources,  as soon as the incident came to light, the masjid management held an internal meeting  and later tried its level best to hush up the facts. But the  case stood exposed no sooner it was brought to the notice of the Child Help Line. Meanwhile, attempts have also been made to mount political pressure to get Yamani released.

Victim girl not yet questioned : It is learnt, the management had not yet questioned the victim girl even days after the incident came to light. When asked the management cites the excuse that it had no time as a religious scholar was supposed to arrive. It  also said it had plans to enquire as par the Shariat. It also admitted that   it had appointed the teacher without enquiring his  history. They also said that precaution would be taken to see that such incidents did not recur and that there were plans to have CCTV cameras in classrooms.

Boliyar Jamaat President Abdul Rehman Anegundi, Masjid Construction committee President Aboobakker, Member Haider and SI Khan Musliyar were also present.
