Mangalore: The members of Vishwa Hindu Parishad, Bajarang Dal and Akhila Bharathiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) celebrated in the city soon after India’s mission successfully entered Mars’s orbit on Wednesday September 24.

The members shouted slogans and burst crackers at PVS and in front of Mangalore City Corporation.

They congratulated ISRO and prime minister Narendra Modi for the successful Orbit Insertion Manoeuvre of the Mars Orbiter Mission (MOM) that made India the first Asian country and ISRO the fourth space agency to send a satellite to Mars.

India scripted a history by becoming the first country to make it to the Martian orbit in its very first attempt with lowest cost.

Laudatory messages also began pouring in on social networking sites as soon as the MOM was in Mars’ orbit.
