Moodbidri: Police held a man for attempting to molest a married woman here on September 24 near Ashwathapura.

The arrested is identified as Manjunath(25) a local daily wage worker.

The woman was alone at her house in Intimar in Ashwathapura. Her husband had gone to work.

Accused had allegedly hid himself in the cowshed. The woman hearing a sound at the cowshed went to check. He suddenly held her hand and tried to molest her. He escaped from the spot after a relative of woman came to know about the incident.

As per the complaint given by woman, police arrested him and was produced in the court. He has been sent to judicial custody for 15 days.
