Kasaragod: The CPM workers of Manjeshwar division was attacked by a group on Sunday, October 7.

As per the sources, a group of men who came in three to four bikes attacked CPM workers of Manjeshwar division. The injured are CPM Manjeshwar division secretary D.Booba, his wife Harinakshi, CPM Varkady local committee secretary Naveen Kumar, Mahesh T and other activists identified as Akshay Kumar, Dikshith, Nitin, Charan Raj and D Babu. The injured were immediately taken to Kumbla Government hospital and are undergoing treatment.

As per the CPM sources, the CPM workers were returning after attending a function at Poyye Chamundeshwari temple when a group came in two to three bikes and attacked them. CPM. The CPM workers have accused that the group that attacked them were the RSS activists.

The CPM has organized a protest march seeking justice for the injured workers of their party on October 8 evening at Majibail.
