Mangaluru: The depression in air pressure over the Arabian Sea has been moving closer to Oman, as observed by the meteorological department. Based on the observed change in direction, it looks like coastal Karnataka won’t see much of the effects of the depression.

Fishermen have, however, been warned not to venture out into the sea till October 10 as the depression might turn into a cyclone. The department has also said that the Dakshina Kannada district might see rainfall and thunder over the next two days.
