Mangalore : At least ten cases of Dengue fever have been reported from the Kaprigudde area of Mangalore in the recent past. Sources also revealed that like Malaria even Dengue cases are reported from various parts of the city, much to the worry of Mangaloreans.
The District Health Officer has informed the media that the department has taken all possible measures to check the spread of the Dengue and Malaria menace.Arrangements are being made to provide NS1Ag and ELISA kits that help in detecting Dengue, the officer said.
He further added that the Dengue fever had no particular treatment, while symptomatic treatment is mostly given. He urged the public to ensure that the surroundings of their house was clean and also to conduct a blood test in case of fever.
