Mangalore : In a broad daylight burglary in Mangalore, thieves who entered a house on Kudmul Ranga Rao Road by breaking the front doors on May 16, Thursday, have decamped with valuables and cash all worth nearly Rs 2.67 lakhs.
The theft occurred in the house of Mamatha Prabhu when she was away from her home for just an hour, to visit a house at Mannagudda.
The stolen goods include gold jewels weighing 20 sovereigns, a mobile phone and a cash of Rs 20,000.There is a suspicion that someone who was closely watching the movements of the house owner, might have committed the theft.
Kadri Police are conducting the investigations.
