Mangaluru: Mangaluru rural police have nabbed seven persons in connection with the brutal murder of 28-year-old Ijaz alias Ijja at Kannur on Friday October 31.

Mohammed Aniz (22) from Daimbunagar,Kannur, Riaz alias Zia (30) from Adyarkatte, Musatq (30) from Yousufnagar, Kannur, Mohammed Fazal (20) from Ganadabettu, Azmal (21) from Kannur, Hasanabba (29) from Kannur Mazid (27) from Kannur were arrested here in Bantwal on Saturday by the Police.

One Maruti Alto car and five machetes have been seized from the accused.

On Saturday Ijaz was brutally killed with machetes by a group. According to the sources Ijaz’s murder, was linked to the murder of a person about a year back, which is said to be the reason behind this attack.
