Mangaluru: A 70 year-old woman from Kasargod district was discharged from Wenlock Hospital after completely recovering from COVID-19, on Sunday, April 13.
With the discharge of this elderly woman, totally seven persons have been discharged from the Wenlock Hospital, among the total of 12 patients who were tested positive for COVID-19 in Dakshina Kannada district so far.
The remaining five persons are still receiving treatment.
The elderly woman who discharged today, had come from Soudi Arabia to Calicut on March 9.
She came to Mangaluru for treatment after she had symptoms of COVID-19, on March 19.
Her throat swabs were sent for testing and it was tested positive for COVID-19 on March 24.
After proper treatment at Wenlock Hospital, she was discharged today, informed Dakshina Kannada district Deputy Commissioner Sindhu B Rupesh in a press release.
Since a week, no patients were tested positive for COVID-19 in Dakshina Kannada district.
A total of 28 test report came today and all were tested negative.
