Kasargod : Several houses have been damaged and many more in danger due to severe sea erosion in Kasaba Kadappura, Light House, Nellikunje and other areas in Kasargod district. Already severe meters of land have been engulfed by the sea.






The house of CM Abdulla near the Light House has collapsed due to the giant tidal waves, while a portion of the house of Prasad of Kasaba Kadappura has collapsed.
In another case, the residence of Nasar has been damaged due to a coconut tree fall. Similarly, the houses of Moidin Kunhi and Asyumma are in danger.
Reports state that hundreds of houses are facing danger due to sea erosion in Uppala, Kumble and Kasargod. The heavy rains accompanied with strong winds have also uprooted several coconut trees and have damaged plantations. The strong winds blew away the roofing sheets of Kumble market. There is information of loss of agricultural crops, coconut trees and rubber plantations in various parts of the district.
