Mangaluru: District in-charge minister B Ramanath Rai who lauded the police department for their cracking the sensational murder case of Karthik Raj and Korapadi Abdul Jaleel said that the BJP and the Sangh Parivar had tried to create communal discord by communalising the murder of Karthikraj.
“Senior BJP leader Yeddyurappa, MP Nalin Kumar Kateel made effort to create communal discord in the society but the police department was successful in cracking the case and bringing the real culprits to book, he said.
Speaking on murder of Korapadi Abdul Jaleel muder, Rai said that Jaleel was a good youth leader who had social concern. “The accused in the case belong to the Sangha Parivar and are active members of the Hindu Jagarana Vedike. Police are continuing the probe. Everyone connected to this murder will be nabbed,” he said adding that Home Minister G Parameshwar, who will be in the city on Tuesday will visit the residence of Abdul Jaleel Korapadi.
Answering a query as to why the Congress leaders are sharing dais with the SDPI in connection to Ahmed Qureshi case, Rai said that the SDPI and Bajrang Dal are two faces of the same coin and hence any Congress leader, irrespective of his caste and religion should refrain from making appearances with the communal outfits like SDPI, Bajrang Dal, Hindu Jagarana Vedike and the likes.
Talking about Qureshi case, he said that the case has been handed over the CID. He also said that two innocent youth who had been brutally attacked by Qureshi should also get justice and even that will be worked upon.
