Mangaluru: The owner of a scrap shop at Thokkottu near Ullal suffered heavy losses after fire broke out at the shop on Tuesday night, November 15.

People tried hard to extinguish the fire after they spotted it, but couldn’t save the shop. It is gathered that the shop was operating without license.

Surprisingly, the shop had no electricity connection for short circuit which usually leads to fire mishaps. Hence, the role of miscreants is suspected behind the fire.

Ullal police visited the site and have registered a case.
