Moodbidri : Traffic was disrupted for a few hours on the road near Vidyagiri campus here on April 9, Wednesday after wastes from a garbage carrier vehicle  scattered all along the road. As the wastes were greasy, a few two-wheeler riders suffered injuries  as their vehicles skid.

Wastes were seen scattered all along from Vidyagiri to Mulki till Mangalore cross road. However, the vehicle had escaped  without bothering about the  problem. Soon a foul smell emanated from the area and vehicular traffic from either sides came to an abrupt halt.

Finally, staff of Alva’s institute  provided their water tankers to clear the road of the garbage. Eyewitnesses said a few bikes skid off the road injuring the riders even after the  clean-up as the road remained slippery for some time.
