Mangaluru: Supreme Court Judge V. Gopala Gowda on Sunday inspected the Government Wenlock Hospital and Mangaluru District Prison.He was taken around by the Hospital’s superintendent Rajeshwaridevi H.R.Mr. Gowda went to different wards and looked at the facilities provided by the departments including medical, surgical, orthopedics and neurology.
Also the diagnostics facilities of the hospital and the newly launched facility providing peritoneal dialysis came under the scanner. Mr. Gowda also visited the Regional Advanced Pediatric Care Center of the Hospital where infants are treated. He spent nearly an hour at the hospital after which he expressed his appreciation for the cleanliness maintained at the hospital and also for quality services that are provided.
Prior to his visit to the Hospital, Mr. Gowda visited the prison and went around the premises. He was at the prison for nearly an hour. Media persons were barred from entering the prison during this visit. Principal District and Sessions Judge Uma M.G. accompanied Mr. Gowda to the prison and also Wenlock Hospital.
