Mangalore: The Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) along with other like-minded organizations held a protest rally on Monday May 13 to condemn the anti-Hindu ways of the ruling party Congress.
The rally that started off from Jyothi circle and proceeded to the DC’s office, where representatives of these organizations addressed the large number of protestors.

Speaking to the protestors, Niketh Raj of Yuva Bharat said that the Congress speaks of secularism and never call themselves as Hindus but we take pride in being Hindus because we believe in our culture. He asserted that the Congress leaders advertise themselves as temporal, but they are all involved in immoral deeds.
Niketh Raj alleged that from the health minister U T Khader, illegally acquired the land allotted to Subramanya temple and absorbed it into his family trust; to minister Abhaychandra Jain who indulged in threatening journalists and MLA Mohiuddin Bava who has been supporting illegal cattle transportation and traffickers, all of them are the same, he said.
Congress government has been trying to invoke Goonda Act on Hindu activist, which may aggravate the wrath in the community. Hindus are left with no option but to condemn it, he warned. Moreover in support of Dr Kalladka Prabhakar Bhat (RSS leader), he said if the Congress leaders have nerve, let them dare even touch him and show their strength.
Surya Narayana, state co-coordinator of Bajrang Dal said that Congress is treating Hindus as third grade citizens and pacifying minorities by suppressing Hindus. Congress is providing various schemes for Muslims and is discriminating against Hindus. Congress only knows to abide by the divide and rule policy, he added.
Kabeer Killing Case and the Illegal cattle trafficking:
With reference to the case, Niketh Raj said that Naveen Naik, the ANF official who gunned the illegal cattle trader is truly a hero. Kabeer has several cases against him, and Naik has shown his honesty and sincerity towards his duty. The Congress has shown immense interest in the case and even compensated the illegal cattle trader, said Niketh Raj sarcastically.
Congress leaders have no respect for Gandhism, for, if they really did, they would not have behaved like that. Mahatma Gandhi was also against cow slaughter but rather the Congress has been encouraging it by giving compensation to people like Kabeer and his family said the RSS leader.
Satyajeet Suratkal of Hindu Jagarana Vedike, M B Puranik, Sharan Pumpwell, Manohar Thulajaram among others were present at the protest.
