Udupi: In what appears to be a moment of relief, Udupi reports two negative cases out of the three samples tested for Kyasanur Forest Disease. Earlier, the same batch tested positive at the Shimoga laboratory.

The previously positive case involved a 58-year-old woman from Kechanur near Vandse in the Kundapur taluk of Udupi, who has since been discharged. Currently, Udupi is free from Kyasanur Forest Disease.

Residents remain vigilant, adopting preventive measures to avoid future occurrences. District Health Officer Dr. PI Gaddad advises residents not to overlook symptoms like fever and seek immediate medical consultation.
