New Delhi : A tragic incident unfolded in Ghaziabad where a young couple’s outing to the zoo turned into a nightmare, resulting in the untimely demise of both individuals within a span of less than 24 hours. Abhishek Ahluwali, aged 25, succumbed to a heart attack, while his wife Anjali, overwhelmed by the shock, tragically took her own life by jumping from the seventh floor.

According to their family members, Abhishek and Anjali had recently tied the knot on November 30 and had planned a leisurely visit to the Delhi zoo on Monday. During their outing, Abhishek began experiencing chest pain, prompting Anjali to seek help from his friends. He was initially taken to Guru Teg Bahadur Hospital and later referred to Safdarjung Hospital.

Despite efforts from medical professionals, Abhishek’s condition deteriorated rapidly, and he was declared deceased later that day due to a heart attack. The news of her husband’s sudden passing left Anjali inconsolable. Overwhelmed by grief, she rushed to the balcony of their apartment and jumped, sustaining severe injuries. Despite being rushed to Max Hospital, Vaishali, Anjali succumbed to her injuries in the early hours of the following day.

Relatives recounted the heartbreaking scene as Anjali, overcome with sorrow, sat next to her husband’s body before abruptly fleeing to the balcony. Despite efforts to intervene, she tragically ended her life.

The family’s anguish was compounded by the revelation that Abhishek had been first taken to Guru Teg Bahadur Hospital and later transferred to Safdarjung Hospital, where medical professionals were unable to save him.

This tragic incident serves as a stark reminder of the increasing prevalence of heart attacks among young adults. From festive gatherings to physical exercise venues, numerous instances of young individuals collapsing and succumbing to heart-related issues have been reported in recent years, highlighting the need for greater awareness and preventive measures.
