Newskarnataka – Bantwal

Bantwal : A  bike rider lost his life while the pillion rider sustained injuries  when their two-wheeler was knocked down by a gas tanker at Gadiyara near Maani on the National Highway 75 on Wednesday May 21.

The deceased is Monappa Gowda (42), son of Honnappa Gowda of Perlampady village. He died on the spot. The pillion rider Ashok of Nettar has been hospitalized.

Monappa Gowda was working in a bar at Kumbra in Vittal. The mishap occurred when he was returning after attending a wedding at Perne.
