Bantwal : A bike rider was killed in a head-on collision between his two-wheeler and a bus at Bhandaribettu on January 9, Thursday night. Two others sustained serious injuries in the mishap.

The deceased youth has been identified as Yatish Shetty (19) of Bantwal. Siraj and Sachin who were pillion riding the bike are critically injured and have been admitted to a private hospital in Mangalore.The mishap took place when the trio was heading towards BC Road from Bantwal.  A KSRTC bus which was coming from the opposite direction knocked down the bike near the Ramdev Garage, landing the three on the road.

If Yatish died on way to the hospital, the other two were provided treatment at a private hospital in BC Road and then shifted to Mangalore.
Bantwal town police have registered a case.
