Bantwal :  DK District in-charge Minister B Ramanatha Rai has said that it was not  proper to target  respectable persons in the society and also a holy shrine on the pretext of the Sowjanya rape and murder case.

Speaking to reporters at BC Road on October 25, Friday, Rai said there can be no denying that the case should be thoroughly probed to bring out the truth. “The BJP government which was in power when the incident took place had remained mum. But now, it is not proper to  accuse the present government that it has failed to act.  The statements of some people who are targeting the government are baseless, he said.

On the frequent traffic snarls in BC Road, Rai said efforts would be made to construct a traffic police station here. He also said the traffic problems would be solved once the railway over bridge works are complete.
